Job Description:
The Intern(s) will work under the supervision of the Clinical Resource Manager (CRM) to coordinate, offer and arrange all adolescent health education programming. The Intern(s) will be responsible for the attendance, resources and supplies needed at each workshop session. The Intern(s) is to assist the CRE with development of the clinical resources specific to the community site of the adolescent health education program and the referral system for adolescents to easily make appointments, specific times for adolescents to walk-in for pregnancy, STI/HIV testing, Emergency Contraception, contraceptive counseling and management. The Intern(s) will assist the CRE establishing community relationships with specific clinical sites, to be aware of documentation, insurances, nominal, no fees and the implementation of the NYS Minor’s Confidentiality at the site. The Intern(s) will assist the CRE with the coordinating and implementing Parent-Teen Communication workshops.
*Interns that speak other languages are requested to assist with translating resources for the community.
Requirement: Mature Junior or Senior High School student, interested in the public health and healthcare field. OR Senior Level Undergraduate student pursing a BA/BS degree in healthcare field. Both High School and Undergraduate college student must have a community service and/or academic requirement of field education preferred.
